About Peaks Island, Maine

The island is approximately 2 miles long and 1 mile wide at its widest point. It takes about an hour to walk the circumference or about 20 minutes on a bike. There is an inviting beach area and lots to explore, including: art galleries, historic tours, horseback riding, cross country skiing, ice-skating, and ocean kayaking.
Getting to the island is easy. It’s just a 15 minute ferry ride on Casco Bay Lines which offers a number of daily ferry runs year-round.
